Get started in 3 steps
Free, open source, and no account required. Works on Mac and Windows.
Get Your API Key
In Follow Up Boss, go to Admin › API and create a key. This needs broker or account owner permissions — see the note below.
Download the Installer
Grab the .mcpb file from the latest release → Free, open source, Elastic 2.0 licensed.
Open the File
Double-click it. Claude Desktop installs the server and asks for your API key. No terminal, nothing to configure. Prefer to run it from source? The README still covers that.
Important: This tool connects to your Follow Up Boss account using the FUB API. You’ll need a Follow Up Boss API key, which requires broker or account owner level permissions in FUB. If you’re an agent on a team, ask your broker to generate the key for you.
Safe Mode: on by default, which hides all 23 delete tools and leaves 137 of the 160 available. You can switch it off during install if you genuinely need to delete records.
This won’t work with ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude Cowork.
Unlike Claude Desktop and Cursor, those tools can’t reach software running on your own computer. They would need a hosted service in the cloud, and Follow Up Boss’s API terms don’t permit one to be offered.
So there isn’t a hosted version, and there won’t be. To use this today, pick a tool that runs locally — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, Cline, or any other MCP client on your own machine.
